In this specific music video the roles that the men play are dominant. The men have women in skimpy clothes that are dancing either on them or around them. The roles that the women play in the music video are a very submissive one, besides Nicki. Nicki Minaj is rapping on her own and seems to stand alone. The rest of the women are behind the scenes licking lollipops in place for d**ks. Adolescents probably want to imitate what they see.

The lyrics to the song I examined was "The Hills" by The Weeknd.
The lyrics construct masculinity based on the film Generation M because the artist is portraying women as being disposable and as second class. "I just fucked two bitches 'fore I saw you And you gon' have to do it at my tempo" The artist flaunts himself having sexual encounters before meeting up with the next chick and she has to please him regardless. The artist sings about building up a tolerance for drugs and he only came over to have sex. He only wants sex minus the feelings involved. In the beginning of the music video the woman is shown screaming at him because he crashed the car while he was under the influence and The Weeknd is shown not paying attention to her. “I only call you when it’s half past five, The only time that I’ll be by your side.” He has a specific time for this woman and after that he isn't available. Women are portrayed as being available when they are told to be and they have to submit to men.
